Chosen Becky and Abdul Ssekajja Officially Wed in Civil Ceremony

Ugandan songstress Rebecca Kukiriza, better known as Chosen Becky, is officially off the market. Following a whirlwind week of traditional celebrations in Masaka, the singer and her partner, Abdul Ssekajja, have finalized their union through a civil wedding.

The couple opted for an intimate legal ceremony officiated by a judge on December 16. Surrounded by a select group of close family and friends, the pair transitioned from long-term partners to husband and wife.
From Speculation to "Mrs. Ssekajja"

Rumors of a secret legal union began swirling during their recent Kukyala and introduction ceremonies, where eagle-eyed fans noticed the couple sporting matching wedding bands.
Becky put the rumors to rest on social media, confirming her new status by quoting Matthew 19:6:

"So they are no longer two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, let no one separate."

She capped off the announcement with a simple, proud declaration: “Officially Mrs Ssekajja .”

A Union of Two Faiths
Insiders suggest that the decision to pursue a civil marriage was a strategic and respectful choice. Given their differing religious backgrounds, a civil ceremony provided a "middle ground" that honored their commitment to one another without favoring one faith over the other.

While the public celebration happened this week, reports indicate the legal paperwork may have been finalized weeks ago, allowing the couple to focus on their traditional festivities with their families.
