Ava Peace Breaks Her Silence on Music Battle Controversy

Team No Sleep (TNS) singer Maureen Namugonza Peace, popularly known as Ava Peace, has finally addressed the swirling reports claiming she requested a music battle with celebrated artist Sheebah Karungi.

The rising star made the clarification during a performance with a live band after media personality Mr. Henrie questioned her about who the “new queen of the generation” is—an inquiry that sparked online excitement and speculation.

In her response, Ava Peace firmly dismissed claims suggesting she had challenged Sheebah or any other artist to a battle. She explained that her earlier remarks—now widely circulated—were misunderstood and taken out of context.

Just to put it right, I didn’t ask anyone for a music battle. Someone asked me, and because they’re used to people putting us down as we try to rise, I had to show them that I am confident and believe in myself. I have never done such a thing,” Ava clarified.

The singer emphasized that her words were never intended to provoke competition but rather to demonstrate courage and self-assurance in an industry where upcoming artists often feel undermined.

According to Ava Peace, her intention was purely about standing her ground, not about stirring up rivalry.
I did not mean to disrespect anyone. So, I don’t want to talk about anything about a battle,” she added, shutting down the controversy altogether.

Her calm yet assertive clarification has been welcomed by fans, many of whom have applauded her for handling the situation with maturity, composure, and respect for fellow artists.

As the dust settles, Ava Peace remains focused on her music journey—armed with confidence, humility, and a growing fanbase rallying behind her.
