Fefe Busi Claims Gravity Omutujju Has “No Talent” But Succeeds Through Hard Work
Ugandan rapper Fefe Busi has sparked fresh debate online after making a bold claim about fellow artist Gravity Omutujju—saying he believes Gravity has “no talent,” but still wins big because of pure hard work and discipline.

While speaking in a recent interview, Fefe used Gravity as a real-life example of how consistency, grind, and understanding the industry can build a powerful career even when people question musical ability. The statement instantly divided fans, with some calling it disrespectful, while others said it was the most honest thing anyone has said in a long time.
Fefe went further and argued that talent is only about 30% of what makes an artist successful today. In his view, the larger share comes from persistence, branding, passion, smart decision-making, and knowing how to play the business side of music. He also pointed out that many celebrated artists aren’t necessarily the strongest writers, but they win because they are excellent performers who know how to control a crowd.
The comments are blowing up because fans often judge artists differently—some focus on hit songs and chart dominance, others value songwriting depth, while many prioritize performance energy, marketing power, and consistency. And in Uganda’s fast-moving music scene, the argument about “talent vs hard work” always hits a nerve.
