"Give Me Some Money": Lil Pazo’s Blunt Request to President Museveni

Ugandan artist Lil Pazo has never been one to mince words, and he recently proved that even the highest office in the land won't make him blink. In a move that has sparked conversation across social media, the singer revealed that if he ever sat down with President Yoweri Museveni, he would skip the pleasantries and get straight to the point: financial support.

The "Enkudi" singer first made these intentions clear during a candid interview with media personality Isaac Katende (Kasuku). Lil Pazo stated then that he wouldn't waste a rare audience with the President on "meaningless" photo opportunities or small talk.

True to his word, Lil Pazo found himself at the President’s Kisozi ranch this past Sunday during the Jazz with Jajja event. Seizing his moment in the spotlight, he addressed the President directly.

“When I was speaking with Kasuku, I told him that if I got an opportunity to meet you, I wouldn’t fear. I will say what is on my heart. And what is on my heart is that I would like you to give me some money because my well-being is not great,” Lil Pazo told the President.

For Lil Pazo, the request wasn't about entitlement, but about realism. He explained that opportunities to speak with the Head of State are "rare and unpredictable." In his view, gambling with polite conversation would be a wasted chance to change his life.

“I have spoken the truth," he added. "I don’t know whether I will see you again. I don’t know if I will get another opportunity.”

While some might find his approach unconventional, Lil Pazo’s blunt honesty highlights the economic pressures facing many in the creative industry today. Whether his directness will result in a presidential payout remains to be seen, but one thing is certain: Lil Pazo isn't leaving his future to chance.
